Medicinal
This is being investigated in China for pharmacological activity as a calcium receptor antagonist and as an inhibitor of tumour angiogenesis. In Chinese herbal medicine it is used for a multitude of conditions, from colds, rheumatoid arthritis and analgesia to snakebites.
