Bupleurum fructiosa is regarded as a useful wind protector for exposed coastal sites. Most plant databases do not attribute any medicinal value to the plant, although related Bupleurum’s (e.g. Bupleurum falcatum) are widely used in Far Eastern herbal medicines. GRF December 2018
