Medicinal

The related species Chrysanthemum indicum is used in traditional medicine: It is used in China to treat eye ailments[Duke. J. A. and Ayensu. E. S. Medicinal Plants of China Reference Publications, Inc. 1985]. In conjunction with black pepper it is used in the treatment of gonorrhoea. The leaves are depurative.
