Consolida had a different meaning in 1650, Consolida major was Comphry [Symphytum officinalis]; Consolida media was Bugle [Ajuga reptans] , and Consolida minima were 'Daizies' [Bellis perennis]. Consolida rubra was Golden Rod; Consolida regalis was Delphinium, Larks Heels.

Toxicity

Class 1a: Extremely hazardous: alkaloids affect Na+ channels and neuroreceptors, with sedating and dream inducing properties, substantial ingestion causes nausea, gastroenteritis, arrhythmia, excitations, spasms, respiratory arrest.
